Great Basin Brewing Company Nabs Another Win At The Great American Beer Festival®

RENO, Nev. (Oct. 9, 2014) – Great Basin Brewing Company has never shied away from healthy competition, eagerly stacking its brews up against concoctions from around the world. For more than 20 years they've been honored with many national and international awards, making them Nevada's most award-winning brewery.

Their legacy of brewing excellence was solidified even further during the recent Great American Beer Festival (GABF) where Outlaw Milk Stout was awarded a bronze medal for Sweet Stouts. With this win Outlaw Milk Stout becomes Great Basin's single most award-winning beer. Prior to this, it's been recognized at the GABF with a bronze medal in 2011 as well as winning in the prestigious World Beer Cup with silver medals in the Sweet Stouts category in 2008, 2012, and 2014.

"Outlaw Milk Stout is a beer that we started brewing 20 years ago and have worked tirelessly to perfect over the years," said Tom Young, Brewmaster and Owner of Great Basin Brewing Company. "The result is an extremely smooth, deep, and complex beer that is best savored slowly. Everything we brew, we brew from the heart, and nothing shows that better than the Outlaw."

This year's GABF attracted over 5,507 entries from around the country. Out of those entries, just 268 medals were awarded making this repeat win even more remarkable.

Outlaw Milk Stout is available now in 6-packs from fine beer stores across Nevada and in California, from Mono County to Roseville and on up to the Oregon border.
