Great Basin Brewing Company Presents Four Great American Songwriters
“Songwriter Summit Series” to Play at Sparks Brewery
SPARKS, Nev. (September 15, 2011) – Great Basin Brewing Company commemorates 20 years of The Risky Biscuit Hayseed Hoot radio show with its Songwriter Summit Series, September through November at the brewery in Sparks.

The Grammy award-winning group of critically acclaimed composers has written and recorded some of the most memorable, celebrated, and frequently performed songs in the nation’s history. Jimmy Webb is known for countless works, including: “By The Time I Get To Phoenix,” “Galveston” and “Wichita Lineman.” Dave Alvin is widely known for his influence on American music, from his roots rock group The Blasters to his talent on the guitar and his many solo endeavors, including “King of California,” “Fourth of July” and “Abilene.” Tom Russell is an acclaimed storyteller – author of novels, folk operas and many chart-topping songs, including: “Home Before Dark,” “The Sky Above, The Mud Below,” and “Who’s Gonna Build Your Wall.” Chuck Pyle, the world’s “Zen Cowboy,” has written and performed some of the most original music of our generation, including the widely known hits “Cadillac Cowboy” and “Jaded Lover.”
