Great Basin Brewing Company's Favorite Ale For Summertime Is Now Ripe For The Picking

RENO, Nev. (July 11, 2013) – Great Basin Brewing Company is now bottling Bitchin’ Berry, their popular craft beer that has been a longtime favorite for the summertime. Bitchin’ Berry will be hitting stores mid-July and will be available all summer long.  Great Basin brews Bitchin’ Berry using real berries while most commercial berry infused beers are brewed with berry extracts (think canned berry syrup). The result is crisp, effervescent and all-natural.

Whether at the beach, camping out or barbecuing in the backyard, Bitchin’ Berry is the perfect beer to help make it through the hot summer months.  “We are very proud of the fresh and crisp summer flavor this brew boasts due to our use of berries during brewing,” said Tom Young, owner of Great Basin Brewing Company. “We are thrilled to now bottle Bitchin’ Berry and make it more widely available to the people of Nevada and northern California who have proved it’s a true summertime favorite.”

Bitchin’ Berry is the third seasonal brew from Great Basin Brewing Company to be bottled and distributed across the region and is available as a limited edition seasonal release. The brewery began bottling and distributing its flagship Ichthyosaur (A.K.A. “ICKY”) IPA in 2011 and Wild Horse Ale this year, which lines the shelves of many fine retailers throughout northern Nevada and surrounding areas.

Great Basin beer, distributed by Southern Wine and Spirits, is currently available at both Great Basin brewery/restaurant locations and at more than 400 restaurants, bars and retail stores throughout Nevada and parts of California.
